Blogging Updates
I’ve made some blog updates, I was postponing some changes that I had in mind for a few weeks now but since wordpress released version 2.6 I took the opportunity to update it and make the pending changes.
I won’t post about the cool new features of 2.6 because every blogger and their mother already did that, I’ll just outline some of the changes I’ve made here on my blog.
So I’ve added the modified popularity contest plugin (Alex King’s original one still isn’t compatible with 2.6 but I hope he’ll update it someday to make it work with more recent versions of WP and with the cache plugins). I made a bigger and better feed button and the feed is now powered by feedburner. Last but definately not least, I changed the social bookmarking links from the previous sociable plugin to the (imho) much better sharethis plugin.
As for my blogging venture here, I’m actually liking it, I still get very few visitors, most of them come for my PHP PayPal classes and most get here from hotscripts since I posted the classes there. The classes have been downloaded almost 100 times and at least one user posted a comment that he found them useful so I’m glad about that 
Next step is to try to get some more traffic in, of course that is directly related to the amount and quality of my posts so I’ll make an effort to make better posts more often. So stay tuned.
